If you’re interested in joining the marching arts as a color guard performer, flag maintenance is crucial. Your flag has to be weighted and secured so you can toss with dozens of other performers at the exact same time. This is the first tool that you learn when you’re joining a color guard, and it creates some of the most evocative moments in any sporting event, parade, or performance.
Years ago, I created this custom flag pole that we sell at ThinkOne.Co out of airplane aluminum, weighted precisely and secured with a rubber o-ring, so that every performer can be on time and every flag can spin without any jangling of DIY lug nuts. This activity is done all over the world, but we’re still innovating! Visit ThinkOne.Co (link in bio) to get your flag pole, or to order custom flag designs for your school!
And get ready for ThinkOne Academy’s full online course, taking you through everything you need to know as a color guard performer! A world class education in the palm of your hand.
